Timeless Truths: Original Untitled Artwork

This original piece doesn't have a name, but the subject's face holds volumes. She's lived a lot of years, and you can feel that they weren't easy. When Jen came up with the phrase "scars are stars revealed", it inspired how we could modify the image to add a lens of optimism and hope. The glow and stars were added to show that even the deepest scars can eventually lead to the brightest blessings. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Artwork Details:
- Original untitled artwork by Orazio Borgianni, 1610
- Head studies such as this, in which the artist eschewed formal portraiture in favor of exploring character and expression, are some of the most accessible and seemingly modern paintings of the 17th and 18th centuries.
In this striking depiction of an old woman lit by a strong shaft of light, Borgianni has offered a meditation on aging and mortality. Borgianni was one of the most distinctive followers of Caravaggio, who was known for the kinds of naturalism and dramatic light effects seen here.
